How you can Help

One of RAWA 's projects in the social sector is to find orphaned children and take care of them. In 1986 Meena, the founding leader of RAWA, established an orphanage in Quetta , Pakistan . Since then, RAWA has established many orphanages in Pakistan and inside Afghanistan to take care of ill-fated Afghan orphans, who are great in number due to two decades of war.

However, in Afghanistan there are not only orphans who need support; RAWA also gives shelter and education to those children whose parents are no longer able to support them due to poverty. There have been many cases where parents sell one of their children in order to feed the others, so occasionally we accept children who are not actually orphans.

RAWA is currently running 9 orphanages in Pakistan and Afghanistan which support hundreds of girls and boys.

YOUR help will enable RAWA, though deprived of any governmental/international agencies' assistance, to further help the most needy Afghan women and children.

By sending $56 US/month you can sponsor a child in one of our orphanages. Your donation will cover food, clothes, education and other expenses for an orphan.
