Global Opportunity for Significant Positive Change: combining socially beneficial applications with mobile communications and tele-mentoring

CharityHelp International is demonstrating the use of smart phones fitted with portable keyboards and solar power kits to build cultural bridges, empower women, and facilitate a wide variety of non-profit and for-profit initiatives that build peace, understanding and free societies. We accomplish this by enabling two-way communication and initiating partnerships of support between women.

These smart phones can connect women from develoed countries with women in developing countries who are engaged in varied activities including education and building livelihoods through small business.

With the availability of these new mobile communication and banking services, doctors, entrepreneurs, and humanitarian workers can now communicate, pay suppliers and receive payments all with their mobile phone. This will increase productivity dramatically and allow their work to expand geographically since they can more easily make payments to and receive payments from their donors, investors, suppliers, subcontractors and/or employees.

By combining the support of women from developed countries with the latest wireless communications and mobile banking services, there is an avalanche of possibilities!

Here are some ways in which your communication can become a partnership:

Foster intra-cultural and cross-cultural dialogue and understanding to strengthen the ties between communities at the local, national, and international levels.

Share support with each other: as you develop a relationship with your partner you can connect or even collaborate on developing projects. You may decide to assist by helping to find and apply for grants from governments and foundations. We would provide resources to help you offer this assistance.

Communicate with and support a woman to develop a sustaining business that can employ and train others in her community.

If you are part of an organization that is already working with women located in Afghanistan, this program can support your work by providing equipment, training and technical assistance in the use of the latest mobile communication and banking services. We would initially assist with a demonstration project and then if you wanted to proceed to full implementation for your whole organization, we would assist in designing the project and helping to obtain funding to complete it.

How to participate in the CharityHelp Support and Networking Program

Currently, the Networking and Support Program is focusing on Afghanistan. If you are interested in participating, please contact us. If you are not already working with an Afghan woman or women, we will partner you with one. If you are already working with a woman from this area, then we can offer to provide her with a smart phone package and training so she can utilize the latest technologies.

It is our goal to facilitate an environment where you can create a symbiotic cultural exchange. You may find that this will inspire you to take initiative and develop projects that improve the lives of women in developing nations.

Your imagination and action will create real and tangible benefits for women in Afghanistan. We only provide the technology and training to help your partnership to be more effective. Therefore, you have the opportunity to really make a difference in peoples' lives and directly observe the impact of your contribution.

A Global Opportunity for Significant Positive Change

CharityHelp International (CHI) is using the power of communication technologies and the Internet to assist individuals and organizations in the most challenging of developing nations.

Like Afghanistan.

"By combining several available technologies and services such as mobile data communications, mobile banking, and others with 'tele-mentoring,' CHI is creating a self-reinforcing process that can accelerate sustainable development," says Paul Stevers, CharityHelp International's founder and president.

You can view the video outlining this potential here.
