By utilizing the latest communication services and Internet technology, CHI assists these groups in generating sustainable financial support. Our projects foster the long-term economic stability and independence of local partners while respecting their cultural identity.



Paul H. Stevers, Chair of the Board

Paul Stevers is an engineer, inventor, and the founder of several businesses. He has developed and is the holder of several patents of innovative waste processing technology. His work has focused on lessening the impact of humans on the environment.  He is passionate about creatively applying developing technologies to help solve current problems and promote sustainable development.  Paul has traveled around the world, visited orphanages in Pakistan and is dedicated to applying his business and technical experience to help charities benefit from new and existing technologies in performing their humanitarian work.

Jennifer Hartley, Ph.D., MD

Jennifer Hartley has been drawn to the people and culture of Afghanistan since she was a child.  She holds degrees in anthropology and medicine from Princeton, Brown, and the University of Vermont, and has a particular interest in the therapeutic use of art in post-conflict settings.  She has worked in Pakistan with RAWA and in Afghanistan with the Turquoise Mountain Foundation.  She is presently a resident in family & community medicine in New Mexico.

Jeffrey C. Neu, Esq.

Jeffrey Neu has been involved in technology and developing countries since 2001. He has studied in Germany, Israel, Australia, South Africa and the US, with a focus on the Middle East, and conflict resolution. He is also the co-founder of a web development company in Sydney, Australia. His past experience involves working with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the Campaign Legal Center in Washington D.C., and consulting for various community revitalization projects in the United States.  He is passionate about technology and the law.



Stephanie K. Dalpra

Stephanie Dalpra joined CHI in December, 2005 with more than 22 years of experience in the non-profit arena. She began her career working with abused and neglected children and has spent the last 16 years working with victims of domestic and sexual violence. Stephanie brings a successful history of administration and fundraising to CHI. Stephanie deeply believes one person can change the world - that one person's courage in a single moment can begin a transformation. She has combined that passion with innovation throughout her career.
